DjView for PlayBook(русская версия)DjVu
is a computer file format designed primarily to store scanned documents, especially those containing a combination of text, line drawings, and photographs. It uses technologies such as image layer separation of text and background/images, progressive loading, arithmetic coding, and lossy compression for bitonal (monochrome) images. This allows for high-quality, readable images to be stored in a minimum of space, so that they can be made available on the web.
There are opinions in the web from users, or just interested in the PlayBook, that DjVu viewer is desirable for comfortable work on the tablet. Indeed, there are no such applications in the App World. To fulfill this need, we decided to port to PlayBook the DjVuLibre
library and the DjView
Porting the DjVuLibre and the DjView is quite real when using the Native SDK and Qt for PlayBook. So at the moment the application is on internal testing in the technical lab of CBD BC. You can test the DjView port for PlayBook yourself as well. Please, download the beta version from our forum. Unfortunately, the DjView is not very convenient when working with a touchscreen. Perhaps it will be slightly adapted.
